A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commits your organisation to respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and to culturally safe, partnership-centred ways of working. The hard part isn’t writing the commitment — it’s turning it into what people actually do on a Tuesday. To move a RAP’s cultural safety commitment into everyday practice: translate it into concrete behaviours, give the whole team one shared language, keep cultural safety recipient-determined, lead the work with First Nations co-facilitators, and build reflection and repair into the routine instead of a single workshop.
